NOTE: It's sometimes a good idea to ring ahead to check if a particular gig is on, especially around bank holidays and at Christmas time.

Wednesdays - Dublin

Route 66
Route 66 at the Turk's Head (www.turkshead.ie), Parliament Street, Dublin 2 from 8.00 -11 p.m.
Every Wednesday night in the Turk's Head, we host Route 66, our Swing social night! Doors open at 7.50 p.m., and admission is €6 (or more if there is a live band playing). Free, easy, drop-in beginners East Coast Swing class 8.00 - 8.45 (see the Classes page for more info about the lesson), DJed swing dancing 8.45 - 11 p.m.. You don't need to bring a partner, just a desire to have some fun!

The night also includes a "Beyond the Basics" class from 7:00 to 7:45. This class is aimed at people who have been coming to the Beginners lesson for at least a few weeks, are comfortable with the dance, and want to start learning more challenging moves. Don't worry, this is still a drop-in class, so you don't have to sign up in advance or anything.

Mondays - Dublin

The Hep Cat Club - weekly at the Grand Social
This night is much the same as what you'll find at Route 66 on Thursday! Organised by the fabulous Jessica, the night includes a drop-in lesson for beginners from 8:00 to 8:45, followed by DJed swing dancing until 11. The twist: there's a different guest DJ every week! You can find more information, including a map, on Jessica's website (www.dublindy.com).
